DRV Award
The German Travel Association (DRV) is always on the look-out for innovative, high impact and exemplary environmental protection projects in tourism. Since 1987 the German Travel Association has singled out outstanding environmental protection projects in the travel industry.
For the first time travel agency staff and other industry experts are being asked to vote in addition to the DRV Environment Jury. "The DRV Environment Jury will nominate five outstanding projects and present them to the industry. Travel experts can then vote for their favourites", explains Dr. Zimmer. "The direct participation of travel experts is an advantage for all sides. It draws heightened attention to pioneers in the travel industry who contribute through their projects to promoting both environmental protection and tourism and also set an excellent example." ?Individuals, groups, organisations, companies and municipalities from across the globe can all enter projects for the Trophea. The decisive factor for the award is not the size of the project but rather the exemplary and innovative contribution of the project to sustainable tourism.
