The Protected Area Menabe antimena is characterized by dense forest and dry, alternate with landscapes of some mangroves and wetlands where lakes are present. The protected area has a wealth of fauna and flora.
The ONG FANAMBY conducts multiple actions to protect, educate, develop income-generating activities. As a result of tourism activities including accommodation and meals as well as tours within the protected area have been put in place to create income-generating activities as an alternative to the problems of exploitation of natural resources .
The CAMP AMOUREUX is managed by the ONG Fanamby model ecotourism and ecology, the camp is named so by the presence of a large baobab lovers in the camps. Accommodation is housed in a private style on platforms made of local materials, tents equipped with mattresses, with private bathrooms. 3 tours are available from the camp, one for easy observation of 2 lemur species such as Propithecus and Eulemur Verreaux rufus, the other to admire a small forest of baobab and last nocturnal tour for easy observation one of the smallest lemur in the world as Microcebus berthae.
The Camp is managed with love and benefit communities by creating jobs, buying garden products, and the repayment percentage on turnover. The community also benefits from the expertise in hotel and marketting through sustainable tourism approach developed by the ONG Fanamby.
