This is an intensive program of trekking (6-8 hours / day for 10 days) to discover magnificent sites in a unique area : Makay.
unknown to most tour operators and guides and totally deprived of facilities, Makay is completely wild with extraordinary landscapes. It features rugged canyons made of sandstone, impressive cliffs, sacred lakes populated by crocodiles and caves once inhabited by ancient peoples.
With an experienced Makay guide, we will move in a fantastic scenery, sometimes in the water at the bottom of the gorge, sometimes in the clouds atop the cliffs. We will share unforgettable moments with the Bara people which is still very attached to the beliefs of their ancestors. We will have the opportunity to discover rare wildlife, among which lemurs and birds inhabiting the dry forests along the rivers. We will end the tour with a descent by canoe along the river Mangoky, one of the largest rivers of the island, during which we will observe a very interesting birdlife.
