A unique program for 7 nights and 8 days to discover some of the Masoala National Park, 2nd largest primary forest of Madagascar, after the National Park Midongy Atsimo.
Masoala National Park is composed of seven different units, including three marine parks. Masoala is rich in rare species such as spectacular palms, eagles and 10 species of lemurs. The park itself is entirely covered with littoral and rainforest where you find everything that makes the rich biodiversity of Madagascar and some local species are endemic to the peninsula like the Vari roux.
This trek goes along the south coast and crosses primary and secondary forests, villages, plantations, and rivers. It starts from the southern tip of the peninsula and back on the western Masoala National Park including a short visit of the Special Reserve Nosy Manga Be. It's a TREKKING tour for demanding hikers. It takes between 6 and 8hrs walking per day, depending on physical conditions and experiences of participants and the portions of the journey. The level of walking is difficult. Overnight stays are in tents in villages. Local communities get direct benefits from your passage through camping permits, porter and guiding jobs.
